Arriving at Glenaldor House after 5 hours walking around the grounds at Portrack House (well worth a visit on the 1 day a year the grounds are open) and it was wonderful to have a friendly greeting and be taken straight to a comfortable and spacious room. Stopped in Dumfries on way up to Ayr. There was a good choice of B@B in Dumfries so we followed other people's recommendations. We were not disappointed! Very friendly host, large comfortable room, very good breakfast and good value. Will stay again if in the area

Beautifull house , great host good breakfast, had a very good time during our stay here. Would definitely stay here again. We arrived early and were greeted with a warm smile and were told that our room was ready which was a bonus.

We stayed at Glendora House in freezing April, the house was comfortable and warm. Our room was of a high standard with large en suite bathroom. The location is very good for walking into town with plenty of places to eat. David is a helpful host, breakfast was great. Would stay again.
