I have stayed in this hotel for 3 weeks due to work in this part of country.thought the service was fantastic and the staff were no more than spot on and food was great.would recommend this hotel for anyone to stay in as my stay was great

Not a very friendly place at all. Rooms very basic, and jaded. Shower door didn't open properly so had to squeeze myself in and out. No full size towels supplied on first night, so after the difficulty with the door, had to dry myself on hand towels. Bar was populated by rough, noisy people swearing loudly...and a dog wandering about.... More

Not too welcoming place. Unfortunately, the bathroom was dirty but liked the rest of the room. Had a double room for myself, so the size was OK ... I'm not too impressed. Liked the linen though. And liked the location too as it is very close to the rail station.

WE enjoyed the lovely 'home cooked' food. Plenty of it and served quickly and staff were pleasant and helpful. We went back for more the next night! First time I have ever said 'just can't eat any more'

Grim environment,ghastly decor and pretty average service. Nice sandwich but they forgot the pickle - and I had to open up my sandwich to prove I didn't have any pickle!! 18 of us were there last night (sat 4th Aug) for a leaving doo, We were set out in the larger function room in a square which was nice as we could all join in on the chat.Main course was lovely hot and freshly made,everyone enjoyed that. i would recommend the hotel to everyone we got a warm welcome the rooms were clean and tidy and a good size the food was excellent and the portion size was good the staff were friendly we were here to attend my brothers wedding

Visited here on Saturday 5th May for a evening dinner with relation from Australia and the food was first class. The portions were larger than normally expected and served piping hot. Staff very attentive and good value for money. Have eaten here before and no regrets.
