We stayed in Dumfries on the spur of the moment and the Tourist Information booked this Guest House for us, we are so glad they did, its only 5mins walk from town and its gorgeous, spotlessly clean, with everything you could possibly want in the rooms, the breakfast was lovely and the landlady couldn't do enough for us, we would... A comfortable home from home is my description of the Craignair; set just far enough off the main driving route from the rail station to town centre to be undisturbed by traffic noise yet only 5 minutes walk from the station and 10 from the shops and pubs etc. My room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a good shower... My fiance and I stayed here for one night and loved it. The B&B is run by the lovely Mrs Renac, who makes you feel right at home.
