Hotel desperately in need of Refurbishing. Bedrooms - very poor, sheets were thread bare. Two lights didn't work. Carpet badly stained. I chose to cover pillow with item of clothing, before putting my head on it!! Enough said"................
Bathroom in similar state, vinyl flooring lifting in corner, covered in black mould. Tapes tarnished. Need I go on?
Staff were friendly,...

Attended a wedding held here in March. We arrived early before checkin time however, Gillian got us a cup of coffee and we had a seat for 15 minutes at the lovely roaring log fire whilst our room was finished. The room was of a good standard and had great views over the gardens.
The wedding itself was fantastic, great...

We booked a table for 7 people for lunch. We found the staff to be very professional and helpful. The set Xmas lunch menu was good with 3 courses for £13.95. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. We had a table in the dining room whilst others dined in the conservatory but that suited us as we were...

We went out for dinner so can only make comment about food/restaurant and not rooms. Reception area was nice and comfortable. Restaurant itself looked clean and ready for customers (we booked a table in advance). Service was good although I felt slightly slow at times. Food - average - in terms of choice and taste. Meals/desserts looked good on the...

I was a bridesmaid at a wedding in the Dunmar Hotel. The best I can say about this hotel is that the staff were very helpful. We arrived the night before as pre planned with the owner, to dress the function suite. The room had not been cleaned, floors and carpets were filthy, mirrors were dirty and the tables and...

We were there for a wedding. First impressions, the outside of the hotel was ok but obviously had nothing done to it for along time! We were directed to what looked like a small side door to reception where we waited for 40 minutes for ayone to arrive! once they did were were told our room wasn't ready (we had...

We arrived at the Dunmar House Hotel on 8 September 2012, as my sister's wedding was being held there that day. She had won a competition to have part of the wedding paid for, however had ended up paying considerably more to have more guests attend. From the moment we got there I knew it was going to be a...

Booked Dunmar House for a family funeral function in April. The Function Room is old, shabby, dark and sad. The windows at the far end of the room look out onto a pile of rubbish, rubble and broken furniture. Some of our guests were considering this venue for their forthcoming wedding, but scored it off their list immediately. The food...
