Returning to my home town, we arrived at the Claremont Lodge Hotel to attend a family wedding at a nearby hotel. Upon arrival at the Claremont, the staff were no where to be found. This seemed to set a precedence throughout our one night stay. The corridors were looking very tired. The room was functional and adequate. The bathroom appeared... More

I've always found it in a state of disrepair, dirty and the meals are terrible and staff are rude - talking to each other before serving the customers. Sadly, I had to come with a client, so ordered... More

The Claremont Lodge tries very hard to be recognised as a hotel, but unfortunately comes up short on a couple of counts. There are some nice touches in the rooms, which are clean and have a decent shower, and the food served at breakfast is good, but unfortunately these are overshadowed by problems I encountered with two basics – the... I stayed here for 4 nights last week when I had to be in the Stirling, Falkirk area. I had a nice enough room (room 5) that had 2 single beds, tea and coffee making facilities, and en suite bathroom. The room was cleaned on a daily basis and used towels replaced.. I had a few petty niggles - The... More

The roadside exterior to the hotel could do with a lick of paint, but dont let appearances put you off! The staff are very... More
