We've visited Peggy's home at the end of our Scotland trip in August and it was the best Bed and breakfast we've stayed in. The house is wonderfully decorated, it's perfectly clean and it is located in a very picturesque area which is wonderful for walking and mountainbiking. Furthermore,Peggy serves the most delicious breakfast in the world and she cares... More

Idyllic surroundings beside a stream with open views to fields and woods with interesting wild-life. Spotlessly clean and comfortable accommodation. Peggy is friendly and welcoming with the personal touch and she cooks excellent breakfasts. More

I´m just back from my wonderful holiday in scotland. It was the 5th time I stayed for a couple of days in Milton Cottage and I am looking forward for the next time. The cottage in it´s garden is a wonderful place, where you can meet pheasant, birds, squirrel and hedgehog. You can start a great walk just around the... More

If Robert Frost and Ernest Hemingway were invited to an afternoon tea by Beatrix Potter, they would likely choose Peggy's garden as the location. What with the trickling steam surrounded by a plethora of pansies combined with the country breeze only matched by Peggy's charm and hospitality, Milton Cottage really is a timeless stay in the valley. We have stayed... More

We stayed with Peggy at her beautiful cottage in the Borders for 1 night whilst cycling the Tweed cycleway which goes past her cottage. The accommodation, food and hospitality was fantastic and there was safe storage for our bikes. Her rates are far too low for the standard she offers but thats just how Peggy is! More
