Glenbervie is a lovely building in a great location. All the rooms are very clean, lovely decoration and comfortable. The public lounge is a nice room to sit and watch television or read and chat, however, it did get quite cold. The breakfasts were nice and a good start to the day More

Stayed in a single room and thought the people and accommodation were great. Husband and wife are very accommodating, and were very understanding about my arrival on the late ferry. The location is a 5-10 minute walk from the train station/ferry terminal. Only slight negative point was that they couldn't accept a card payment in advance over the phone. More

My wife and I travel to Argyll, on business, several times each year. Oban is the ideal location to use as a base from which we can visit customers throughout this beautiful area of Scotland. When you are staying away from home, either on business or holiday, it is important to be able to look forward to the best possible... More

A week before I was due to stay at Glenbervie I read the reviews and was worried to say the least. However, when I arrived I found none of the situations described. The room was clean as was our friends room. The milk was and continued to be in date. The owners were friendly, rang for taxis for us, asked... More

4 of us recently stayed here 2 nights. ornamental frogs everywhere, the accomodation is old fashioned and in the bedroom the sachets of milk were one week out of date so i emptied them all in the sink, however after the room had been cleaned i checked the replenished milk and again it was the same as the day before... We stayed at Glenbervie for one night in June 2011 (we were booked elsewhere but had to stay there because our original BB choice was not accepting any guests on that night). We were received by the land lady (who didn't even bother to introduce herself or ask us about our names or anything else for that matter), she showed... More

A reasonable guest house which was clean and looked after but far too many cushions and nik naks - it was extremely cluttered. The bed was comfortable and the location was good with nice views across the bay from the lounge and breakfast room. Our bedroom looked out over a bowling green. The breakfast was basic but lacked the black... More

Clean (ish) and comfortable, with reasonable view over Oban Bay, its up a hill, after all. The rooms are quite small and the en-suites are even smaller, but do the job. Breakfast is served between 8am and 8.30am, even at weekends, definitely too early, and mine host nearly had apoplexy when my wife asked for peppermint tea, come on, this... More

stayed here for one night, and from the minute i entered the building it was fantastic. the staff were really attentive. my room was comfortable with a view of the bay (good as i like my ferries) and had freeview tv. it is in a very quiet area of the town. the only downside for me was the breakfast, as...
