A very special holiday for us as we got married at Castleton House during our New Year Holiday 2011/12. Wonderful house, friendly owners, fantastic surroundings. The house is wonderfully furnished to a very high standard and is equipped with more than we could ever have imagined a true "home from home" we will definitley be returning in the future. More

Had the most amazing weekend stay with my family/friends recently at Castleton House for my wedding at Glamis Castle. The owner met us on arrival and was a tremendously helpful host. The house is extremely decadent and all the 6 en-suite rooms are fabulous. We're planning our next stay already! More

Stayed at Castleton House back in July when it was only recently converted from a hotel to an exclusive use venue. David the owner met me at arrival and showed me the house and the facilities and I was delighted to see there was a snooker room! The rooms and beds are very comfortable and I loved staying for a... I cannot praise Castleton House enough! When we arrived the day before my son's wedding at Glamis castle, our expectations were exceeded in every respect. The bedrooms were all ensuite with beautiful furniture and tasteful decor. The beds were supremely comfortable and the entire house cosy, warm and comfortable. As we were a party of 12 celebrating a wedding we... More

Just back from the best family holiday weekend we arrived Friday and left Monday. All our expectations and needs were met" A warm country welcome in the hall with Devine staircase and so big we could not find each other. The bedrooms were wonderful with each with their own bathroom bigger than kitchen at home lol we felt like princes... More

My wife and I went for a 'one night romantic' DB&B package which overall was very good value for money. Our room was excellent in size. The main reason for our visit was for the dining. Solid, but could have been so much better with a few adjustments. Arrived in the comfortable drawing room for a pre-dinner drink. 'A Kir... More

Didn't stay overnight so can't comment on rooms. Visited for a meal - prompt welcome on arrival, quickly offered drinks and given menus. 4 starters, 4 mains, 4 desserts, all of which sounded great! Brought a plate of nibbles with our drinks. Tables well spaced out, plenty of room for everything on table (not always the case with most restaurants!).... More

A picturesque looking hotel, beautiful to the eye or so it would seem due to how it is presented via its website. However on approaching this "prestigious" hotel the first thing that strikes you about it is the smell! With a farm featured on the hotel grounds the smell is less than enticing. On entering the rooms we found the... More

Thank you for your comments, I am glad you enjoyed good service. As we have a dispense bar with no seating, I would question your point about the hotel manager sitting the bar. There is however nothing we can do about the occasional smell of the country from the farm next door. It is minor and temporary, and a small... More

Have to say first that we didn;t actually stay there (it's only 10 miles from my dad!) But i did choose it for a special birthday (dad 75) meal for a small family gathering - and it was everything we could have wished and more. We went for Sunday lunch - and were greeted at the door by freindly, but... More

A lovely hotel if you want to stay in the Dundee area but away from the city. Family run and very attentive and friendly staff. The rooms were lovely too, although the shower wasn't great. Particularly loved the breakfasts which were the best I've had in any hotel for a long time - especially the bacon. More
