I would like to start by saying the Elvis convention is brilliant so much fun and lovely atmosphere but then came the hotel. We booked in for 2 nights and our rooms were at the back of the hotel (no sea view) the room itself was very well equipped and had recently been refurbished so was clean and tidy. We... More

Here is another hotel which has seen better days. The check in staff gave the impression they were just doing their jobs, no friendly smiles or gestures. The bar staff were marginally better but I never once felt I wanted to tip them, which I usually do. The bar furniture was falling apart and I saw nothing to suggest that... More

I was very sorry to read of your disappointment with aspects of the Seabank Hotel, particularly your comment about the staff. All of the staff in the hotel receive regular compliments about their helpfulness and friendliness to the guests as can be seen in previous reviews. We take exception to your comments about refurbishment which to date includes: 1) Entirely... More

This hotel had seen better days but Alfa are trying to turn that around. Lets hope it continues at speed as many guests will have paid good money to get there. More

The Seabank hotel is the latest acquisition by Liesureplex. This building was originally a private house on during it's varied carreer has been, amongst other things, a boarding school. Although the hotel is a little run down it is a work in progress and improvements are being made all the time. The position of the hotel is excellent. When it... More

Stayed at this hotel with husband and my mum. It was a good offer self drive holiday through Alpha coach travel. I have to admit I was a bit dubious on booking as the rate seemed so cheap for bed/breakfast and evening dinner. I was pleasantly surprised. Yes the place could do with redecoration BUT everywhere was clean and our... More

We travelled to Porthcawl for a family wedding and the reception was held at this hotel. The lady in charge of weddings was one of the rudest, unhelpful and unwelcoming people we have ever met. Her attitude was very poor and she really spoilt the occasion for the bride and groom, we felt very sorry for them. All the guests... More

We stayed one night at the Seabank with our two children. The hotel is quiet and very well located at the end of the beach overlooking the sea. We thought the rooms were very dated - 80s bedspreads, tired curtains, ugly furniture and rather institutional bathrooms. The rooms were by no means dirty - just that when things are so... More
