Stayed in the Landsdowne twice during the summer. First time was at the end of June when we were over for a friends wedding and i have to say the hotel was lovely and comfortable. The women working in the hotel were very welcoming and made our stay a really enjoyable one. My room was on the ground floor and... More

I have a quite a few friends in Brecon and have been going there for a few years now. For this reason i wanted to stay in a hotel that was ideally located in the town with close proximity to the bars, shops and restaurants. The Lansdowne was therefore the perfect place to stay to suit the needs of both... More

Stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks with work, As a place to get my head down it was amazing, the place was very clean and the owners are very welcoming. Rooms are a good size and more than what i needed for my stay there. The Breakfast was brilliant all freshly cooked in the morning unlike most hotels i've... More

To be honest I have read all comments on trip advisor about this hotel and I’m just back from a weekends stay and totally disagree with some of the comments made. So here is my experience. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a very welcoming reception area, it was like walking into your own home. We were... More

The hotel is well-located and very comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast was of a very high quality and overall the rooms and general accommodation were good value for money. The lack of hotel parking was not too much of a problem and the late night revellers returning home sounded good-natured and were not the hotel's fault.

I have been staying at the Lansdowne in Brecon regularly for the last four years. It remains one of the friendliest places to stay. The Lansdowne is a very short walk to the town centre and offers excellent value for money. The Hotel is very traditional and the rooms are comfortable rather than modern smart. But the big factor is... More

Had a brief, but enjoyable stay here. Didn't experience the problems of the first reviewer and would definately recommend it to others. A little way out of the town centre, but still very much walkable.

I think the previous guest reviewer probably felt a bit liverish when he wrote his review,he is correct in saying that the refurbishment is on going ,but i imagine he now wishes he wasn't quite so harsh. Our bedroom was very good (No 7 ) new bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and a television on the floor rather than at the... More

Check the date of any review. I stayed in the Lansdowne at Brecon over an April week end and found it hard to recognise the hotel in the only other Trip Advisor review. OK its not a five star hotel - it only claims to be one star. But i Its not a soul-less motorway motel box either. It may not... More
