Ty Mawr is a great place to stop for a cup of tea and a delicious cake if you are in the area. Better still, stay for B and B! We have now been at least five times and always get a very warm welcome from Emma and Menno who seem to take real pleasure in making their guests feel... More

We arrived late Friday night around 22:30 No cell phone or sat nav reception available. Menno was still up to welcome us to this charming B&B about as close to mount Snowdon as you can get on the south side. Very comfy room with sat tv wifi and and we had the room which shared bathroom with adjacent room. Bath... More

Everywhere was clean and tidy - including frontage which is a shop window for the tea room. Tastefully modernised with 3 star decor, furnishings and furniture. Friendly helpful encouraging couple born to run a B&B. We stayed for 7 nights, having booked by cheque which took a couple of days although paid the balance by card on departure, so maybe... More

I live near to this cafe and so frequent it with many friends. The owners Menno and Emma are very kind and friendly and there is always a warm welcome to customers who soon feel like friends! The menu is varied with some Dutch additions as Menno is from Holland, everything is homemade or locally sourced and presented well always... More

I have just returned from a superb weekend with my friend as we were celebrating her birthday. We stayed with emma & Manno and i just wish we had been able to stay more than 2 nights! The bedroom was spotless and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in for a long time!! The welcome... More

Me and my sister stayed here for 3-4 days last Oct and we couldn't fault anything. The breakfast was great, the owners provided us with useful information on the walks we could do and the room was really comfortable. It's a small town away from the bigger Beddgelert so we usually ate at the restaurant nearby but the food was... More

I visited with my young family, we had a delicious cream tea with freshly made cakes and scones which we all really enjoyed. Having paid and left the premises we were then chased up the road by the owner who accused us of stealing a wicker napkin holder-truly embarrassing not to mention upsetting! I sent my husband back down and... More

Owners Emma and Menno were truly outstanding in welcoming all to their B&B and Tea Room. Although Rhyd Ddu is on the less-traveled side of Mount Snowdon, it is the perfect base. Although we stayed in the self-catering cottage across the street, our group of 5 wished we would have stayed at Ty Mawr, According to other customers we met... More

This was a really fab break in a wonderful B&B that was ran by Emma and Menno. We really enjoyed our brief (2 night) stay and wished it could have been for longer. The location was fab, the rooms were nice, warm and comfy and the breakfast excellent. We had a really good meal in the loacal pub on the... More

Conveniently situated in the lovely village of Rhyd ddu. In the shadow of Snowdon with Beddgelert and its forest just a stone throw away, you can't find a better location to stay. Most Wonderful hosts, friendly and very helpful. The food was good especially dinner, good mix of traditional English and a little Dutch flavour. Pack lunch is available and... More
