This hotel is in a great location. I stayed on a stormy night and the views from the pier were very dramatic!! The room was basic but clean, but the hospitality more that made up for it. A great one stop shop if you like - good food and ale and a nice bunch of locals in the bar. A... More

Stayed for 3 nights due to business at Bangor university. Was rather worried due to previous reviews. Myself and a friend stayed in the house seperate to the main hotel. My room was ok it was clean and what you would expect for 2*. Bathroom was clean with a good hot powerful shower. Tea , coffee, biscuits, towels & toiletries... More

We recently held a wake at the hotel, the particular members of staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the food was delicious and the view amazing! The only comment would be that the waiting on staff were dressed inapropriately More

Paid in full in advance, non refundable. Unable to get there on first day due to snow. Phoned to say that we hoped to be there the next day. Phoned early next day to confirm we would be arriving at 13.00 hours. Was told that room would not normally be cleaned by then. I asked why it had nor been... More

This has to be the most awful place I have ever had the misfortune to stay at. We booked a room after seeing the amazing pictures on their website, when we got there we realised that the picture of the building we thought we were staying in was in fact the next building over! We were shown to our room... More

I'm amazed at the sheer volume of negative feedback. Through work I have stayed every year for the last 6 years and never had a problem (touch wood). The location is excellent, on a quiet street over looking the pier and out across the straits to Beaumaris and Llandudno in the distance. Whilst I agree the hotel is dated and... More

When we arrived the room did not look as if it had been finished off properly. The bed although made up wasn't very well made. There was the lid of a drinks bottle on the bedside table. One of the bedside lamps did not work. However the worst thing was the condom floating in the toilet! Would not stop here... More

First of all, this is not a 2 star in our opinion - it's a 3 star. The staff are all so lovely and helpful. The food is delicious, breakfast is really spot on and the room we had was huge and very comfy! We had the family room with our dog and it was absolutely no problem at all.... More

I stayed at this hotel last week for one night. The room I was allocated was in the annexe. The view was superb but the room dire. The bedding was ripped and ancient and the the decor very dated. The hallway smelt very stale and was dark and dingy. The staff were friendly and appeared helpful but that can not... More

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the warm and friendly staff, the room had obviously been decorated and had new furniture in it but it was not clean.the reception area ,bar and dining areas are stuck in the seventies.was so pleased we were only stopping for one night will never stop there again .
