This is a lovely traditional English Town Pub. A Good choice of beers, a nicely proportioned Carvery from the local Bar-lord. The only thing is, they do need to update the wood-panelling behind Jimmy the regular, as his outline is becoming visible during his brief absences.

A very good carvery with decent quality food. At £10.95 for one course sounds a tad expensive, however there were plenty of waiting staff who were all very helpful and the dining area is very nice and bright. It was busy as we visited Sunday lunchtime, but due to good table spacing you do not feel like you are squeezed... More

An excellent carvery but was disappointed to find out that they don't do a childrens menu, just a small carvery or sausage and mash. We chose the carvery for my 3 yr old but it was put on the bill as an adult meal and as there was 9 of us an automatic 10% service charge was added. Although these... More

Arrived in Chichester wanting a meal for lunch. Happened upon the Nag's Head on the walk from the car park to the town centre. Delicious carvery with generous portions. Friendly but unobtrusive service as I enjoyed a catch up with my daughter. I've made a mental note of the location in order to visit again when I'm next in Chichester... More

This is a lovely pub with rooms within a few minutes walk of the town centre. The pub area is quaint oldy worldly but this blands in well with the newer more contemporary sofa/lounge area and the restaurant. The room we had was small but very clean and very adequate for our needs. The staff & breakfast were great! The... More

I stayed here for one night, due to its location, to attend a party nearby. Luckily, I did not have to spend much time in the room having arrived with only an hour or so before I was due to go out. The room experience can only be described as miserable. Just one light bulb worked, the curtains did not... More

We stayed over a long weekend .We couldn't fault the friendliness of the staff .Our room was at the front and being on the ring road was noisy for most of the evening. The room had secondary double glazing but as the weather was hot i didn't keep out the noise as it was open.Parking in Chichester is pay and... More

The Nags is a nice looking pub and usually busy but I think this is more on the account that no other place really does a carvery in Chichester. The food is fine but also pretty expensive for a carvery. I believe the owner has another restaurant close by but anytime I've gone past it, it never seemed busy. It's... More

My wife and I decided to visit this wonderful, traditional public house at the end of July for two days. The location couldn't have been better as we explored the local area, including a wonderful visit to Arundel, a must for all. We were immediately impressed by the friendly bar staff who welcomed and showed us our room which was... More

This lovely bar and restaurant is certainly worth looking out. Very good selection of real ales, including a great pint of Flowers, good menu choice and great service. We went there on Saturday lunch and had the Carvery and the fish pie - all the food was great. Certainly recommended.
