Arrived Monday 6th May - at 5-35 pm the fire alarm went off - went down from the 5th floor down the stairs to find neither i or around 15 other guests could not get out. The exit door was closed we waited for 10 minutes before a member of staff arrived - after a few minutes she yanked the... More

The stay in the hotel was going fine until the day before departure. There was some shortage that set the fire alarms off, The only main fire exit everyone knew was to go out of main reception, so that is what we all did, but the automatic doors wouldn't open. There was no override on the doors. There was only... More

Very basic room, pillows were rubbish. Room it self was clean just a sick stain on carpet outside of our room was not pleasant to see on arrival. Area outside hotel does not feel the safest at night but during the day excellent location for shopping at the bullring

Booked a room for £22 to see a show at the Hippodrome, excellent location next to Moor st station and the Bullring. Fairly small rooms but big enough for the two of us. No restaurant but there is a tesco express next door for supplies. No complaints and actually surpsrisingly quiet.

This is another purpose built travelodge in the centre of Birmingham. The rooms are clean with a plastic box bathroom all built offsite & then located inside the hotel, at least that's how it looks! This hotel doesn't have a bar or restaurant but as it is in the centre of Birmingham you have plenty of choices available within a... More

We stayed 4 nights at this central Travelodge hotel. You couldn't get more central handy for busses, trains, restaurants, shopping the lot. Travelodge info on this hotel says "might be a bit noisy due to its location " but we didn't have any noise problems when we were there on 25th -29th March 2013 . We like Travelodge you get... More

Basic is the best word to sum this up really. Travel Lodge are just the bare minmimum and that's it. Stayed here for a work thing so just looking for a bed and that's it. No breakfast, just a bag that they deliver to your room and is pretty rubbish. Bed uncomfortable and really really basic in terms of linen... More

We stayed here in early December 2012 on a Sunday evening. We visited Birmingham for the German market and also a meal out afterwards. The location of the Hotel was superb, and also the price very affordable at £23 for the room. The Hotel is clean and modern looking and the staff were friendly. The rooms were basic, but clean... I was really impressed, clean and modern, friendly staff, £20 a night over Easter, great value. Excellent location, right in the town centre near Moor Street train station, and a short walk from Birmingham New Street Station. Will return again.
