Don't be deterred by the modest cost of this hotel. Its actually very friendly and comfortable with good food and WiFi too. Ok, there's no mini-bar, but there is a lively bar downstairs. Its a few miles out of town and not well-served by public transport, but good if you have your own as its in pleasant countryside just off... More

I stayed here in March 2012 as I was working close by and it was the nearest hotel that came up on the search. The person I spoke to was friendly and the booking was a no-nonsense affair. I was quoted £32 for the night, including breakfast. On reaching the hotel, it seemed a pleasant enough place and the chap... More

Stayed at this hotel on the 23rd December..after being shown to my room i discovered soiled under sheets as well as a smelly toilet .I was moved to another room where the valence sheet had spilled coffee stains next to the bedside cabinet.I am pleased i did not have my family with me and would not recomend staying.

Well the room was cheap and had an excellent locality to Birmingham and particularly the NEC, so that's why we picked it, but as some of the other reviews state you get what you pay for.... At the worst end - the room stank of cigerette smoke, we used some air freshener and it smelt better when we left for... More

We stayed on Friday 11 th nov. The room was cheap and we took a chance. You really do get what you pay for in life. The room was old, dirty and smelt. We booked a family room and I am just glad my children were old enough to know not to touch anything.

My family and I stayed here on Saturday 12th November. Once we had checked in and went upstairs to drop our bags off in the room the first thing we noticed when we opened the door was a strong smell of bleach. I presumed the cleaner had been a bit over the top with the cleaning, this was not the... More

I very, VERY rarely complain but feel I should inform anyone who thinks about staying here of my experience: - * Despite having double glazing, the noise coming from the busy dual carriageway outside sounded like both windows were open. Not pleasant throughout the night. * The room was cold. The central heating didn't work at all and judging from... More

We booked this hotel at the last minute and I think we got the short straw. Check in wasn't too bad an experience, the guy was new and a bit nervous. Very pleasant and tried to be helpful. The room (no. 26) was AWFUL!!! stank of cigarette smoke, some kind of nasty damp stain on the celing, thin curtains, dated... More

I stayed here on the night of 26th September 2011. I had booked it that morning as I needed to be in the Midlands the next day, and on this occasion I paid £37.50 for a double room. I experienced excellent friendly professional staff throughout. The room was clean with a pleasant modern decor, a TV with Freeview, and a... More

I recently stayed overnight in this hotel, having booked through laterooms.com. On arrival, the staff had lost my resevation. The room that I was given was dated & shabby. The main lightbulb had gone & the tv didn't work ( I understand that Birmingham has just switched it's analogue signal off). The Mattress was old & soft & the quilt... More
