I was given a very nice, large double room with new bathroom facilities. The breakfast and dinner were also very nice.

Woodbrooke has been a home from home for me over the last 15 months. Working locally on a long-term contract, I needed weekday accommodation that would keep me happy over that period. Woodbrooke certainly did that and more. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent varied, delicious and healthy food, a perfect room with a lovely view, beautiful and tranquil surroundings... More

Just a mile from the local railway stations at Selly Oak and Bournville, and with a bus stop outside, there is no need to use the car to reach Woodbrooke, although they have plenty of parking. The single room was simply furnished, with no TV, but very comfortable and clean with good en-suite facilities. TV's, if required, can be found... More

I stayed here on a 3 day residential course and it’s a great place to stay, the rooms are simply decorated but very comfortable. Woodbroke is set in stunning grounds and you can really lose yourself in its beauty. The food is of a great standard but please bear in mind that Woodbrooke is a Quaker centre so if your... More

FANTASTIC place to relax and truly rest.Library has 24 hr access to Quaker books but also to fiction.Food is wonderful with much choice and caters for special diets. There is always a friendly companion at shared tables or a silent table if you wish for silence. Quakers on courses are happy to chat and there are also many B&B guests... More

Stayed for a 2-day conference and was very impressed with the welcome on arrival. We could not check in until the afternoon, but we were at our conference so that did not matter too much. The food is excellent, plentiful and freshly cooked. My single room was quite spacious and the lack of TV was not a problem. Although the... More

We found this on Centre on Tripadvisor and I was a bit wary as we are not Quakers, BUT the staff and friends could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We asked for quiet rooms and were accommodated in Holland House - well away from the busy Bristol Road. It was truly peaceful and the gardens are so beautiful.... More

I found out about Woodbrooke through contacts at work. The place is delightful and was excellent for an all age family re-union. Gardens for parents to walk about in, library and music room. Football, guitar, rowing boat, badminton and croquet for the the teenagers. We were disappointed we didn't find the camp fire area until the day we left nor... More

We have wanted to visit Woodbrooke for many years (as Quakers, we are familiar with its programs), so decided to spend our last nights of a long around-the-world journey there for a private retreat on a lovely few days in July. We got to Woodbrooke by means of plane, train and bus--and found it very easy to be dropped off... More
