- Etap Birmingham

Right I am going to keep this short and simple. Although this is a budget hotel its a little different from normal etap hotels. Firstly because its by the airport its well insulated with regards to sound. Its also got comfortable beds though a little hard (proper beds not those cheap things you get in the normal ones that look...

Stayed for 2 nights whilst attending conference at NEC. Booked early so took advantage of the cheap rate which was very good value. Great location, airport minutes walk away and NEC 20 mins via monorail to station and then a shortish walk. Rooms basic but very clean; be warned...don't share a room with someone you're not willing to bare all...

What a surprise! Stylish but small rooms with TV and air con. No tissues, hair dryer or tea/coffee in room but comfortable and fantastic value. I was really impressed that my request for lots of pillows had been actioned - I was given 6!!
Breakfast was simple but fine and staff were helpful and friendly.
I didn't really want to...

The Etap Birmingham Airport hotel is good if you can get their cheapest deal because the standard is less than a Travelodge. Shower cubicle and sink in the bedroom with the toilet in a small separate rooms. Towels were tiny and quite rough. And no bath mat to step out of the shower onto, which would have been useful since...

The ETAP hotel at Birmingham airport does exactly what it says on the tin, so cannot be faulted in that respect, I guess. If you do not have excesive expectations, you will be moderately satisfied. It is cheap convenient accomodation for those with very early departures. The hotel is located next to the terminal, just 1 minute walk if you...

Overpriced room, very basic. No tea or coffee in room. Faulty TV. Weak shower. Room felt like a cell. Breakfast vastly over-priced for yoghurt and cereal. For the price I paid I would have expected a cooked breakfast. If I were told in advance it would be just cereal, yoghurt and distinctly un-fresh fruit I would not have agreed to...

Had to stay here with no choice for 4 different nights in 2 weeks. It was cheap and surprisingly, there was no noise of air planes. All the receptionists (guess they were all French) were helpful - they kept my big suitcase when I went to London & Oxford till my return for free.
We have recently spent a night at this hotel. It is very basic but adequate. We were annoyed that we booked well in advance but were charged £75 for the night, supposedly because there was something on at the NEC.!! I haven't heard of anyone who has paid this amount. We also had a room with a bunk bed over...
