Gables Nest is VERY clean, lovely welcome and only the one building. Staying at present and the owner is appalled by a misplaced review of another establishment posted yesterday. More

I stayed the Saturday night so I could go to the Gardener's world live show on the Sunday. Marilyn was VERY friendly, informative, helpful and was just generally wonderful. She had so much information and she recommended a buffet restaurant (Peachy Keen) which was within walking distance which was FANTASTIC, she even gave me a leaflet for the restaurant which... More

Stayed at Gables Nest on 12th November with my husband and 2 young children. It is a ideally located for the NEC and airport. On arrival we were greeted by Marilyn, the owner, who made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the family room which was spacious and comfortable. Generous sized bathroom with lots of hot water. My wife and I had a fabulous two nights at Gables Nest. Marilyn and John looked after us in style. Great breakfast to start the day with and good information on local buses to get you around. They and their family were great to chat with even though their son barracks for the wrong Birmingham football team. Go Villa. Would... More

I have just stayed for 3 nights. Marilyn is a very friendly lady and she made the stay worthwhile. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She really looked after me very well. (I should point out that I only had brief but pleasant contact with John.) I was in a single bedroom at the front of the house, but... More

I've stayed at the Gables Nest twice. Once for 13 months and secondly, for twelve months and I'm still there and hope to be so until my contract in Birmingham finishes in 2011. Mal and John are amazing hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They maintain and run this guest house to the highest standards possible. They both... More

This place is a gem and very convenient for loads of places in Birmingham. I chose it because of the earlier v positive reviews. The warm welcome, the good room, two great breakfasts and the bargain price didnt disappoint. I will be back when I am next in Brum. More
