We had a magical time in Stratford and stayed in this fabulous little b&b. The location was perfect, the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast wad hot and filling, and the owner Tim was really friendly and helpful. The only let down was the British weather.

Needed to get away for a few days and take in some culture. Stratford is defiantly the place to go, I was not disappointed. I booked into Virginia Lodge, a charming B & B which was brilliantly located and Ideal in so many ways. After a very pleasant nights sleep in a front facing room and a hearty breakfast I... More

Stayed at Virginia Lodge over Easter & had a great stay. Only 5 minutes walk to the town centre & we didn't use the car once (great) We had a four poster room, which had a nice modern bathroom. The dining room is lovely, big marble fireplace & cosy atmosphere. Owners gave us good advice on restaurants & were friendly.... More

After booking tickets to see Hamlet at the RSC theatre I was looking for accomodation for a couple of nights in Stratford to extend our stay, and after reading (the somewhat misleading) positive reviews of this establishment on trip advisor I decided to opt for Virginia Lodge. Upon arrivial we were greeted by the proprietor, who gave us a cordial... More

I do not usually respond to reviews. However I do feel that some comments are inaccurate. I respect any guests right to their own opinion, but would like to point out the following. The furniture in the room was not cheap to buy & is of a good quality. Breakfast - there are 3 hot choices, the English breakfast is... More

My partner and I visited Virginia lodge last week, we arrived by train on the Thursday morning at 12 o clock, aware that check in wasn't until 3 but thought we could look around Stratford before hand. Tim called us whilst we were on the train and told us that we were welcome to come earlier which I thought was... More

Virginia Lodge is a nice little B&B in a brilliant location for exploring all that Stratford has to see and do. The rooms were very clean and very nicely done out in period furniture. We received a very warm welcome and service was fantastic at breakfast, a real bargain. I'd definitely stay here again. The only downside is that breakfast... More

Virginia Lodge is in a good location for visiting Stratford Upon Avon. Just park your car and forget about it, as you can walk every where from the Lodge. I would recommend Virginai Lodge to anyone. the vegetarian selection for breakfast was our favorite.

As ever, a comfortable and well-appointed room and an excellent breakfast. A typical example of Tim's consideration for his guest came when he walked all the way over to the railway station to tell me that my return ticket to London was in my bag. When he found out the train wasn't leaving for 90 minutes, he invited me to... More

Staying at Virginia Lodge with family, friends, or students has been one of the highlights of coming to Stratford. We always felt a warm and cordial welcome, not to mention comfortable and cozy rooms. It is a favorite retreat after walking all over town to the sights and an evening play to come back to Virginia Lodge and collapse in... More

This wonderful and well-located bed and breakfast combines beautiful, charming, spotlessly clean rooms with gracious service and scrumptious meals. Don't miss the full English breakfast here: you'll know you're well and truly in the heart of England. I visit Stratford often at various times of the year, have stayed in other nice accommodations around the town, and--follow me closely here--I... More
