Stayed here for one night in May 2012. Every wall and door has marks and is generally well past the need for a refurb. The bedclothes had holes in. carpets had lots of stains. seemed to be lots of groups of lads or lasses staying at the hotel who make lots of noise in the middle of the night. Probably... More

This was a one night stop over, we found the room typical of a travel lodge, clean comfortble and good value.

We stayed here for 2 nights On a girly weekend and visiting a friend at uni here. The room we were allocated had mould on the bathroom ceiling and stains on the walls. The fold out bed was stained and I found it odd that we had to make up the bed seem as though the room was booked for... More

Let me start by saying that this is no means a top of the range brand spanking new travelodge so if thats what you are looking for, look elsewhere. We used this as a base to travel to the quayside for a meal in Piccolinos, a taxi will cost you £11 and is only 5 miles away so we chose... More

Stayed at the Travelodge for 1 night and even that was too long, the whole building requires refurbishment it is dirty, stained carpets throughout, dirty torn curtains, broken towel rails / toilet roll holders not even attached to fixture, requires decorating and generally not fit for purpose. This was my 1st stay at a Travelodge and it will be my... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights on a girls weekend, there was mould on the bathroom ceiling, the towels were all stained and the bedding, the view from the room was lots of rubbish and a pair of underpants hung in a tree, the cups were not even clean, the noise levels were unbelievable, and you need a... This was booked by a friend for 7 of us coming to Newcastle for a hen night....Its about 6 miles out of town £15 by mini bus each way. I telephoned a couple of days before our stay and the male recceptionist was friendly and informative but the 2 female ones we encountered were down right miserable! The bathroom tiles... More

A really clean and friendly hotel. This hotel is mainly used by people who go out in Newcastle for the evening so you will often find large groups of males/females. It is a noisy hotel but it was great for us as we were part of it! Perfect for somewhere to get ready and return to after a night on... More

The location of this hotel is very good if you are visiting Newcastle, the staff are helpful and polite and there are good restraunt's/pub's nearby. If you go down Mill Lane you come across The Cock Crow Inn,which does a good pint&curry deal on Wed evenings. There is also a Pizza Hut and Cinema nearby. The hotel is pretty average with basic facilities,but... More

We've stayed at many travelodge typ hotels and this was by far the worst. We expected basics but this was more like a hovel than a hotel. Filthy, old, stained and smelly room. Had booked for 2 nights but only stayed 1 and that was only because we had no where else to go. I can't even put in to... More
