I stayed at this fabulous hotel for 5 nights from the 13th to the 18th of this month. Having spent 9 weeks touring the country for work this was essentially my home from home. It has been one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, the staff are wonderful, the duty manager in particular who bent over backwards to... More

This hotel is situated on the doorstep of all that Newcastle ahs to offer. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious. General facilities are of a reasonable standard. Reasonable value for money.

Royal Station Hotel - Newcastle upon Tyne Do not stay at this hotel under any circumstances. You will regret it and be very disappointed. There are better quality, cleaner hotels in Newcastle at much cheaper rates. I have never written on Trip advisor before but was so appalled by my stay that I must warn people not to make the... I have stayed here many times over the years, under various managements. This great Victorian pile has an excellent central position next to the railway and metro stations. I have always found the staff very helpful and the rooms well fitted and clean. The breakfast is a buffet and as such is "OK". The eggs tend to float in oil... More

Stayed at the Royal Station for 2 nights earlier this month. This was the 3rd time I have stayed there and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Newcastle. It's location is ideal for everything, right next to the train station, and just a 10 minute walk from the arena, shops and quayside. The rooms are clean and well presented. Yes the... More

I stayed here with my partner last Saturday and definitely will not be staying again, here is a review of our experience at the Royal Station Hotel. Upon check in and were greeted at reception by a lady that couldn't even muster a smile, no customer service at all didn't even tell us were our room was in fact she... More

I've just spent two nights here, and would happily return. The staff were without exception friendly, efficient and helpful. Public rooms are elegantly Victorian, and the view down from the 4th floor to the chandeliers just has to be experienced. I booked a single through HRS and was very pleased to be allocated a small double. The breakfast (normally at... More

Hotel was part refurbished, part very old and run down so make sure you ask for a refurbed room when booking. Gym was run down with very old equipment but the staff there were friendly, as was the porter, the reception staff however a slightly different matter - even worse when I rang up with an enquiry! Very good location... More
