This was our 3rd visit to the Corner House all of them due to our works Xmas party being held there.
We've had the opportunity of trying 3 different rooms including the 4 Poster room, the 'Family' room and this standard double. This was easily the smallest of the rooms we've been allocated, the bed was alongside a wall which...

Just had the worst Christmas Dinner absolutely shocking! Garlic mushrooms were tasty but I think all they used was one mushroom... Then roast beef for the main.. You get what you pay for. It's cheap and not very cheerful. Room was generally OK. The low point was breakfast. I could have forgiven the mediocre "full English" if there had been some decent coffee. But a thermos jug of hot water plus a sachet of Nescafe does not meet my needs of a morning. Had just come back...

Stopped off overnight, last week, due to an early morning appointment at the nearby hospital. Let me first of all praise the staff, from the reception duty man, to the lovely restaurant waitresses and the quiz-night bar crew. All willing & eager to please.
Restaurant food was typical pub grub, but hey, £8.00 for 2 mains, you can't be robbed. Hand...
