We were coming to the area to visit the wonderful British Larder in Bromeswell and they recommended The Old Rectory. If your idea of a great hotel is a five star Westin then forget about this place - you won't like it. If you want to stay in a wonderfully welcomning if slightly eccentric home than this is the place... More

Five couples trip spent three nights here and all though the house attractive, comfortable with lovely bedrooms and stunning gardens. Breakfast was excellent and the evening dinner impressed everyone with quality and well presented dishes. The Old Rectory has high standards and is peaceful, comfortable with great food and helpful efficient staff - we would certainly visit again. We were... More

Booked Hemlig Cottage for a week while attending a family wedding in Woodbridge. The cottage is fantastic. Two double bedrooms, kitchen/dining room and lounge area. All very clean and tidy on arrival. Provided everything that was required during our stay. Beds extremely comfy! Lovely back courtyard that gets the sun in the afternoon and a newly finished front patio. Woodbridge... More

We have just come back from a night at the Old Rectory and what a treat we found. We were in Yew room and it was quite delightful. Spacious and comfortable, with a compact but beautifully presented bathroom. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was huge and gave a great nights sleep. There is nothing to fault in this... More

We had a great time here - the house is beautiful and the breakfast superb - be sure to try the poached eggs laid by one of the hens in the garden! Another high point was the residents lounge with magazines and an open fire. Everything was to a high standard, even fresh milk for the in-room tea and coffee.... More

This beautiful, elegant old Rectory is the perfect setting in which to unwind after a busy week in the city. The setting is quiet and quintesssentially English with an ancient parish church right next door. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and on a grand old scale. The breakfasts are locally sourced, organic and highly tasty. Minsmere Bird Sanctuary, the coast... More

Just returned from two nights at The Old Rectory, a delightful rambling house with large garden next to the church in Campsea Ashe. Tea and cake in front of a roaring fire in the sitting room was s wonderful welcome and the unfriendliness of the other couple sharing the room did nothing to dampen our spirits. I think at least... My family rented out the whole hotel for my grandfather's 80th birthday and everything was brilliant: the rooms were nicely sized, the beds were very comfortable, the food was delicious ( breakfast, lunch and dinner) and the staff were amazing, always smiling, and ready to help and give whatever was needed.Top class people, beautifu place, would go back there any... We stayed here a few weeks ago for a short break. Lovely welcome and the touch of tea & cake was lovely. Our room was the Ash, over priced for its size and the photo's were very clever to disguise this lack of space. Cosy it was but not what we expected. The bed was lovely, a great nights sleep... More
