Pavilion House was a great find. Greta and David were the most welcoming of hosts and their home is a credit to them. The hearty home cooked breakfast (with a fine array of homemade jams and breads) was exceptional as was their local knowledge which very much enhanced our stay. We would have no hesitation in recommending this quiet, peaceful... More

Hosts were attentive, relaxed and friendly. The house was immaculate and very well appointed. Guest accommodation was very clean and of a very high quality. The garden was of great credit to Gretta and David and were extensive and colourful. Beyond the garden and stretching out in rolling shades of green were magnificent views of rural cambridge. It was a... More

Having stayed in many different B&Bs in Cambridge (regular user due to working away from home) I was extremely impressed by Pavilion House and the welcome and service provided by Greta and David. The rooms are immaculately clean and well furnished and the food is truly excellent. Greta and David took me in at very short notice (about 20 mins)... More

Our stay here was back in August 2011, I was meant to write a review on return but never got round to it. This is one place that deserves all the praise it receives. I booked a room here for myself, my husband and my son when spending the day at Newmarket races. On arrival we were made to feel... More

I have never enjoyed being in a B&B as much before! David and Gretta are lovely and weloming, and their home is beautiful. They are very friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. We were greeted with tea and homemade cake, and spent some time chatting and getting to know the two dogs and two cats (all really friendly and enthusiastic,... More

We were warmly welcomed to a very tranquil house in beautiful surroundings by David, who runs the B&B with his wife. The room was very comfortable and clean and David was most accommodating throughout our stay. Breakfast was fantastic with home made jam and fresh eggs from the chickens kept at the house. Not ideal for those who dislike pets... More

We stayed at Pavilion House, our second visit, to go racing in Newmarket. Pavilion House is a great find, beautiful house and garden (glorious rural views) in the countryside but just 3 miles from the racecourse. Tea and chocolate cake in the garden on arrival was perfect after a 3 hour drive. Our room was very comfortable and had an... More

This is a wonderful homely B&B with good facilities in very tranquil surrroundings. You are made to feel at home and almost as though you are part of the household, although not overbearingly so and there is plenty of privacy. The room was very comfortable with a good bathroom next door although not ensuite. We were offered tea and cake... More

We were welcomed with tea and freshly baked cake. Gretta and David are wonderful hosts and we chatted for ages over breakfasts. The house was warm and comfortable and there was always a log fire burning ( particularly welcome after a cold, wet day). We stayed for three nights and will definitely return. We have already recommended it to several... More
