Typical Travelodge. Our room was in need of a refurbishment. We only went for one night as we were attending a function at a nearby hotel. I suppose you get what you pay for. We paid £50 for a Sat night but I think you can get rooms here for about £20 if you book well in advance. My advice... More

We stayed here for two nights in a car-park facing room but we heard nothing to keep us awake. The room was clean the bed had good fresh linnen, and the staff were so helpfull. We arrived at 2am and the night manager couldn't have been more helpful either. we have stayed here before and the staff have always been... More

We arrived at this travelodge around midnight after attending a wedding locally..pretty standard room - clean enough, usual amenities, bed very comfortable. Checked out early in the morning so not much time spent in the room...not near any main town so definitely only convenient with a car, handy stopover if you're in the area, tesco extra around 10 mins drive... Typical budget hotel. The staff are the best part of this place!! They are friendly, helpful and attentive to make your stay comfortable. This is located in the middle of nowhere. However, with a 5 minute drive you can get to the local shops, restaurants and pubs. Always fully booked so if you want to stay here I suggest you... More

We were attending a family wedding at Wynyard Hall, and needed somewhere to stay close by. Past good experience with Travelodge led us to their Sedgefield bypass site. The on line booking procedure was easy & quickly done. On arrival, we were quickly and efficiently checked in. The room was pleasantly warm, clean, and comfortable. We asked for, and got,... More

Cheap; good value. Very clean. Stark, bare, minimalist, basic, plain, souless but what can you expect for £31. Quite big room - just about empty though. Tiny sliver of soap in the bathroom. Approach it down a litter strewn lane. Right next to a busy roundabout but the double glazing meant I had a decent night's sleep. Friendly helpful reception... More

The room was very basic but I was ok with it because I only paid £25 a night for a family room. It was difficult to believe that the room was newly refurbished, as stipulated on their website. The toilet smelt like a wet dog because the extractor fan did not work. The people above our room had a dog... More

Stayed with my wife last weekend for 2 nights with my wife, whilst visiting our daughter. Room basic but very clean and shower worked very well which is something some hotels fall down on. The first night there was only 2 very thin pillows on the bed, went to reception but Mr Happy on duty said he had no more... More

Another £12 bargain night away, another Travelodge. Cheap and cheerful, worth taking advantage of the sales when the have them. Sedgefield Travelodge is tucked away, and not really near anything exciting to be honest. This has its plus points though, mainly that we had a quite nights sleep and parking was not a problem, both points that can be a... More

Stayed here for the weekend with a group of family and friends whilst at a sporting competition nearby.Room cost £29 per night for 4 of us - not a bad deal ! Reception staff were friendly and helpful. It is a small Travelodge and fairly quiet though as with all Travelodges, the walls are not very thick. The Little Chef... More
