Our trip to Staffs was to see the bluebells, visit the National Memorial Arboretum and to see the Shugborough Estate. We arived in pouring rain to discover the warmest welcome from Robert, a reviving cup of tea accompanied by warm home-made scones and buscuits. We were also joined by Sheila after her return from work. Our room was delightful and... More

Wow, what can we say, the best b&b we have stayed in, from the hosts to the little touches that made the stay amazing, we had arranged in advanced for an evening meal, and was not disappointed! The room was very clean with an amazing view, breakfast was also great with a full cooked breakfast, cereals, juices, home made preserve... More

Cotton Lane Farm is without a doubt THE best B&B we have ever stayed in. The little touches, as mentioned by all other reviewers, the attentiveness of the hosts, Robert (NOT Richard... :-) ) and Sheila, goes beyond what you expect and well and truly into the realms of what you would like without pausing for breath. Tea and cakes... More

This is the second time we have stayed in Cotton Lane Farm Bed and Breakfast and I cannot recommend it more highly. Robert and Sheila are wonderful and attentive and there are several aspects that make your stay all the more pleasant such as cakes and tea on arrival, RSPB shower gels, environmentally friendly shampoos, chocolates / high quality biscuits... Definitely the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Beautiful, tranquil location despite being just minutes from Alton Towers. Robert and Sheila were incredibly friendly and made us feel at home from the minute we arrived. The rooms are fantastic and the full Staffordshire breakfast was excellent. We especially appreciated the little touches, like a free nightcap of sherry before... More

My husband and I have just returned from a two night stay at Cotton Lane Farm, to help celebrate our 2nd 'cotton' wedding anniversary. It was truly wonderful from beginning to end. Tea and warm homemade scones and biscuits on arrival, beautiful rooms with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fresh milk kept cold in a flask. Not to mention the... More

So I have stayed i a few B+B's around the country but this one will take some beating. From the warm home cooked scones when you first arrive to the sumptious cooked breakfast in the morning you could not ask for better. I think the key to this winning formula are the people that own it. Robert and Shelia are... More
