When we arrived we had a warm welcome from Ken and Annette, we were shown the room that we had booked, it was on the ground floor at the front of the house, i was concerned that the traffic noise would be too noisy for me as the traffic is close to the house, but it was rush hour and... More

Lovely room with en-suite - both beautifully clean, charming hosts and an excellent breakfast. Our view from our room was the Cathedral and the green, absolutely delightful. Would highly recommend this guesthouse and would definitely re-book if visiting wells again. Thanks to Annette and Ken for your hospitality. More

Got stuck in the Wells one way system for about half an hour so by the time we arrived i was rather stressed and running late for my night out, but we were met by Annette and with a friendly smile she showed us straight to our room. The room was beautifully furnished, very comfortable and a really good size.... More

Thank you so much for your comments - they are appreciated. I am glad you enjoyed your Palace visit. We do suggest this to all our guests as the newly restored gardens must be one of the finest in the Country, incorporating everything from a water garden ( around the wells ) to allotments. Ken More

Canon Grange is an amazing B&B. Built in the 1500's, the rooms are enormous with many original features. The breakfast room has a breathtaking view of Wells Cathedral and breakfast is cooked to perfection. The hosts are wonderful and have a great knowledge of the area. This is the perfect place to lay your head after a day of exploring... More

Thank you so much for your comments - we are glad you enjoyed your time here. Yes - parking in a tiny medieval city can be a pain - but luckily we have the Cathedral Green beside us, where parking is free and normally available after about 5.00pm. Prospective guests should see the detailed notes on the map page of... More

we had a lovely stay at CG, our room Cathedral View was very nice. It was a little like staying with Granny! The room was clean and it had a small but perfectly functional bathroom, with a pretty stained glass window. The breakfast was very nice too. I would defiantly recommend CG and its a great location within the the... More

Yes - our grandchildren also feel it is like staying with granny ! The stained glass window was an apprentice piece by an apprentice at the company which rebuilds both local and international stained-glass windows for churches and cathedrals. We know we are lucky to be here - with 9 good places to eat dinner within 200 yards. The problem... More

Our weekend away in Wells was made all the more wonderful by staying in Canon Grange. We were well feed in the morning with a tasty selection of home cooked breakfasts and were given helpful advice on how we could spend our time in Wells. Our room was spacious, with a en-suite, and great value for money given the excellent... More

We are glad you enjoyed your weekend in Wells. It is always fun as Christmas approaches and of course with our famous choir singing in concerts, carol services and services over the Christmas period, it becomes really rather special. The choir do sing every evening through the year at 5.15pm and guests are very enthused by the experience. It will... More

After a full day a cycling it was such a pleasure to enter this neat little B&B. We even had time to slip into the cathedral just across the green, before it closed for the night, before having a cup of tea, and hot shower and a cup - even the bathroom had stained glass windows. Good advice regarding the... More

It is always a pleasure to host cyclists as they seem to appreciate the smallness of our city and easy access to everywhere that matters. Thank you for your comments. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your ride. Ken More

This small B&B, situated in a building that dates from 1450, is located right on the green of Wells Cathedral. Several of the rooms --we were fortunate enough to book one of them -- have amazing views over the green to the cathedral. The rooms are quaint, nicely sized, and have small but adequate bathrooms. The breakfast is excellent; guests... More

I often wonder how guests from America will adapt to our ancient homes after the spacious, styled hotels they are used to. I am glad you were able to, you were very welcome here. Thank you for your comprehensive review. Ken More

We took a short break (two nights) over Bonfire Weekend and enjoyed a lovely weekend, thanks to the welcome by Annette and Ken and the other guests. We enjoyed your company here in Wells. The music in the Cathedral is indeed wonderful. It is easy to overlook the fact that the Wells Cathedral choristers are rated in the top 3 in the World - yet they perform free for an hour each night during evensong in the choir of the Cathedral. It makes for a delightful break... More
