We recently stayed at this very welcoming B&B as part of our annual cycling weekend. Storing our bicycles was no problem and one or our rooms had a lovely balcony where we sipped gin and tonics after a hard day in the saddle! Stephanie even brought us ice! Our bedrooms were really homely and comfortable and our breakfast was a... More

This is an excellent Bed & Breakfast; very good location - close to the Wells Cathedral and town centre (you can walk); excellent food (breakfast) and very friendly hosts. The rooms are very cosy and clean. The price is moderate. Parking in front of the house. I really recommend this beautiful place. More

We recently had a very good stay in this friendly and stylish B&B which is located in a walking distance from the Wells city centre and the cathedral. The house is easy to find and it has a private car park. Stephanie and Steve (the proprietors) were both very kind and welcoming. We had a good communication by email and... More

We were made to feel very welcome at Highfield B&B, we had a ensuite room with a balcony overlooking the well maintained garden. The bedroom was clean & nicely decorated as was the dining room. The breakfast was well cooked & generous. Highfield B&B has a good sized car park & we found the walk into the city centre only... More

Our first time staying in Wells though we know the Glastonbury area very well. Unfortunately Steph was at a wedding when we arrived so we didn't meet her til the following day, but her friend, Janet, was on hand and made us feel very welcome. We had a lovely room with a BALCONY! Didn't expect that! And as the weather... More

I stayed at the Highfield for some 15 months whilst working in Wells. It is clean and comfortable with the added benefit that it is in walking distance of the centre of Wells. Steph and Stephen are excellent hosts and do everthing they can to make you welcome. On top of all this they serve an excellent breakfast! I cannot... More

The family was very helpful providing us a family room for one night though they actually were occupied. We enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and the great breakfast, which was really lovingly prepared - with fresh fruit, which is not too common in the UK! More

This is a lovely guest house with beautiful gardens. The landlady was very attentive, providing a wonderful breakfast. The rooms are decorated to a high standard with lovely antique features throughout the house. The breakfast room and glorious banqueting table made our visit. Well worth a stay, excellent value.
