Went to the apple tree via KGB deals for 2 nights, we arrived extremely late but they waited for us gave us a drink and offered food, the room was beautiful with Milton brown essentials in the bathroom, breakfast was out of this world and the menu was lovely and very reasonably priced, and the owners Lee and Ally are... As frequent visitors to The AppleTree Inn, we cannot praise the staff, accomodation and food more highly. Lynn, Ally and Lee are so welcoming we feel like part of the family. We always receive a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble and this includes our dog, Pepper. The bathroom in Russet is so large and bright and warm,... More

Had a two night stay via a KGB Deal and stayed in the Russet room. Large and comfortable (great cosy duvet!) with a large bright bathroom and great shower. Linda and the others were very welcoming and could not do enough for us. We had a superb meal there on the first night - would highly recommend. After the meal... More

My wife and I have recently returned from a two night stay at this wonderful old inn. (First time visit). Prior to any booking, we always check the reviews but are never put off by the occasional negative response. Thank goodness, otherwise we would have missed such an enjoyable visit - also spent in "The Russet". We fell in love... More

Having just returned from a weekend at this lovely family-run I felt compelled to leave a review for future visitors. We stayed in the Russet room, which exceeded our expectations with high-end touches like a pod coffee-maker, Dualit kettle and fresh homecooked cookies.. There was also a huge bathroom with Molton Brown toiletries to use during your stay. The room... More

We stayed for two nights, with our Springer Spaniel and had an excellent time, with a great room and excellent food and service. The room (Russet) was very large with lots of nice touches, such as home made biscuits and a Nespresso machine. The bathroom was again very large, with nice touches such as Molton Brown toiletries. The staff were... More

We are frequent visitors to the Apple Tree Inn and having just read the review below it has prompted me to sign up to trip advisor and post! Normally i don't go a lot on reviews on such pages and normally rely on the trusted and well researched opinions of the Good Food and Michellin guides, which is where i... More

Stayed in The Russet Room 27/28.03.13 The Apple Tree website states this room to be “(Superior Ensuite)” I was interested to read the review by Ulabu 1978 - she stayed in the same room at The Apple Tree as we did and mentions the bedside light not working. Luckily for her, she did not put her hand down to the... More

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. However I do believe that from the off you had some kind of issue with us and perhaps had not looked up where you were staying before hand? Perhaps we were not your type of thing, which is fine, but I wish you had researched us before booking... More

The positives: Pub food is good, nice biscuits in the room, room was decorated in nice colours, bed was comfortable, nice toiletries to use while there, room and bathroom was spacious.
