It's cheap and you can feel it. 1. We arrived at agreed time only to find out that there was nobody in the building to let us in. After phoning them up, we were adivced that the key to the door was left for us in a box. It wouldn't be a problem if we knew about it upfront. 2.... More

I stayed here on Saturday 13th October with my GF as we were in town. It did seem to be the only place in Bath that did single night bookings (most require 2 nights minimum). We arrived to a sign at the door that said 'phone Tracey' the mobile number was one digit too short..so that didn't work. We rang... More

This was by far the worst guest house I’ve ever stayed in in the whole of Great Britain. I was planning a weekend away to Bath for me and my girlfriend and struggled to find anywhere centrally that wasn’t already booked (Bath is a very popular destination.) I managed to come across Ashgrove guest house on a third party website... More

We spent last weekend at Ashgrove. On arrival at 7 pm on Friday we were met by a young lady working there who asked us to pay for our stay immediately as she was in a hurry to go for a drink. When I asked for a receipt she told me that I would get it on Saturday morning. I... More

We stayed one night and it was one night too many. The staff we encountered were rude, there was no hot water in 2 out of 3 rooms we used, the bedding was unclean, and the rooms not properly cleaned. Avoid! The stay at this guest house spoilt our visit to a beautiful city.

We stayed at this guest house for one night over Easter. The tariff was £60 for the night which for Easter should have set the alarm bells ringing. This accommodation house needs some serious maintenance including cleaning, painting, furnishing, hot water and of all things.....light globes. The owners appear to try hard, but the basics need some serious attention. Welcome... More

If you are looking for 5 star accommodation for £65 a night in Bath then you are having a laugh and have no right to complain if staying here, but if you are looking for somewhere pleasant to stay in Bath without being ripped off then I recommend Ashgrove. We spent 2 nights at Ashgrove. We got lost trying to... More

Read the other comments and they are mostly true but for £65 per night per room over New Year in an expensive city like Bath, do you really expect a "tablecoat" on the breakfast tables!! Come on, get a life and be realistic! First of all the welcome, yes it is a little odd. The property is only manned by... More

I booked into this B&B on a business trip, and my first impressions were that it was a very cute, clean and friendly place. My opinions soon changed however. Firstly, when booking in, there is no reception area, which I personally thought was a little odd. The room I stayed in was clean and tidy. However, for 4 days, the... More

We stay at Ashgrove during august 2011. We said at the man who open the door that we want to stay two night. The room was small and noisy. The breakfast was poor and the sausige so hard like a brick. All breakfast was served over a table without a tablecoat. My wife asked for a the but it arrived... More
