The staff in this B&B was surprisingly very unpolite, at times almost rude - for example complaining about me and my partner staying after 10am still eating our breakfast, or not bothering to help us print a document which i really needed. Each morning we woke up in the room smelling strongly of fry up which is terrible. Location is... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review but I would like to just correct a few factual inaccuracies. We are pleased your enjoyed our very central location. We are within easy walking of all the main attractions Bath. We were happy to accommodate your request for a later breakfast outside of our normal breakfast time. At no... More

Guesthouse is within a 5 min walk from main shopping areas. rooms are clean and small but perfect for our needs. Breakfast was good also. parking available only on side streets and cost 8 pounds for duration of our 2 night stay. Would stay here again.

Excellent location. Great breakfast. Noisy rooms facing street so try to avoid these if you want fresh air. Showers are very small so be aware. It is essential to get the parking permit. Overall a very good choice.

I recently stayed here for two nights with my daughter. It was a great experience. The location was perfect for us. We really enjoyed staying in a location that had such a great "Bath" feel to it. And it was easily walkable to every site. The best part about our stay was the customer service. We arrived late morning. Our... More

I grew up near Bath, and always found Great Pulteney Street to be one of the most elegant roads in the city. Staying in The Edgar Townhouse with a friend on this visit was a great way to experience a taste of 18th century accommodation at a very reasonable price. We arrived half an hour early on our first day,... More

ideal location, we arrived in Bath early and were happily given a parking permit unit we returned after a trip to the theatre. The welcome was just what you want from your hosts, happy and informative. The room was spotless and the shower was fantastically powerful! Breakfast was varied and filling. Would be happy to recommend and will be staying... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Edgar Townhouse. It was a home away from home. Rooms were slightly smaller than expected but very clean and well maintained. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was wholesome, huge portions, hot and filling. Edgar Townhouse is within walking distance to city center, Romans Baths, Abbey and most other places of interest. Surely... More

Would like to say this was a very pleasant stay and the room was clean. Greeted by an efficient, friendly staff member. Perfect for a short stroll into town. Wonderful breakfast with many options. The room was warm with hot adjustable radiators, extra blankets in the cupboard. Beautiful big sash window.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in snowy Bath, in no small part due to the hospitality at the Edgar Townhouse. When we arrived we were given a complimentary parking permit (Normally £7). The room was warm and cosy with a spotless bathroom and comfortable bed. Could not fault the location of the Townhouse, walking distance from the city centre and in... More

My mother and I stayed here. From the beginning when the reception staff rushed out to where I was struggling with my overly-large and heavy bag, to the end when the staff laughed at my weak jokes as I was leaving we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room is nice, the location couldn't be beat and the breakfast was...
