Unfortunately only stayed one night in Bath. The Halcyon is centrally located, one block from the main shopping area and a 200 metre walk from Bath Railway Station. We had room number one at the very entrance and right on the street, but you wouldn't know it, as the room was peaceful and quiet. Our arrival was both friendly and... More

I was in Bath for a wedding and choose the Halcyon after reading travellers' reviews and confirming my choice with a local friend. This is such a friendly hotel where guests receive a real welcome and every assistance with their visit. I had a comfortable and quiet room on the 2nd floor overlooking the street. Breakfast was good, excellent service and... More

Had a great weekend in Bath. The staff in The Halcyon were really helpful and friendly, recommending pubs and restaurants (and booking them). The hotel has lots of character compared to most modern hotels. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

We had a recent short stay at the halcyon. It was a nice little hotel with lots of character, which was very well located close to everything in bath. What made the stay so memorable was the service- the front desk staff, in particular Bob, went above and beyond, suggesting things to do, restaurants, and even making calls for us.... More

We stayed here this weekend for my friend's 40th - 4 couples. We stayed in the standard rooms which although small were perfectly formed and ideal for us. When I booked Hector, the manager, could not have been more helpful and they confirmed all the bookings the week before. They also booked us a table on their fab cocktail lounge... More

I stayed at The Halcyon hotel for one night in May and absolutely loved it. The room we were given was quite small but perfectly fine for a short stay. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed extremely comfortable. The hotel is a few minutes walk from Poulteney Bridge and is extremely well situated in the centre of Bath.... More

I have stayed at the Halcyon on several occasions whilst working in Bath and on each time have been impressed by the friendly and personal welcome extended by the reception staff, always smiling and there to help out. The rooms are great, quirky and individual but maintained and decorated to high standard, big comfortable beds and clean, modern bathrooms. Breakfast... More

The Halcyon in Bath is an absolute gem. Stylish rooms, very helpful and friendly staff and a particularly good breakfast buffet. Would recommend it highly for a city break. Ask about the bath skyline walk as this is a great way to spend a morning in the countryside overlooking the city
