Stayed here for 18 nights of the Snooker Championship, as have done for a few years - for the simple reason that it is cheap (we book individual nights when they go on offer and it averages out about £240 each for the whole stay). Positives: They are good at recognising all the one-night stays booked on the above basis,... More

First of all I wouldn't say I'm that fussy I'm not one for complaining but honestly id never stay in a Travelodge again after our experience this weekend. The first room we arrived in, the window handle was hanging off so we weren't able to open up our window. Maybe we could've let this go but our room smelt really... More

A great spot within minutes of the train and bus stations, and very close to the main shopping areas. It was a little further from the nightlife, but still easily walkable. The rooms were as you'd expect - comfy enough, clean enough. The staff seemed competent, although it was mildly irritating that the check-in time of 3pm was so strict... More

A noisy hotel overnight lead to a couple of nights of poor sleep. Bed was quite soft, and basic room a bed & telly. But then you shouldnt expect anything else, like a chair etc in a budget room. The rooms/corridors had a similar smell to that of student halls of residence and I am sure who ever had been... More

We arrived here straight after two nights at a Premier Inn and it immediately highlighted how much the Travelodge standard has dropped in the last few years. Our room was clean, but little things need to be addressed to make it up to Premier Inn standard. For example: their insistence that you can't book in until 3pm precisely unless you... More

Having stayed in many travelodges I was a little disappointed in this one. Was a very good location for the city centre and was grateful for the parking voucher but the quality of the rooms was not up to the usually travelodge standards. There were several stains on the walls and the carpet and a big crack in one of... More

I stayed there yesterday as I went to see STEPS in concert. I found the staff very friendly and helpful- the delightful old man behind the bar in the wee hours of the morning made us feel exceptionally welcome and served us with a smile. Unfortunately, this is where the good news ends for this Travelodge. It's in desperate need... More

Even though you would never expect any luxury whatsoever from a Travelodge, this hotel pushed the boat out too far and raised more than just an eyebrow. First impressions however were fine! Really friendly staff at check - in (the staff were great throughout the duration of our stay and are a great asset to the hotel), however that is... More

Smelly, dated and all round poor....Booking in was easy and prompt. Rooms are tatty, dated and smell. They are very dark and our view was of a brick wall. We had 1 towel between 2 of us and there are no telephones in the rooms to contact reception and being on the 6th floor, it was a trek down to... More
