We stayed here after a day out in London. Great location as it is right next to the station. We booked through lowcostholidays.com who provided a fantastic and slick booking service. The room was very plush and the bathroom featured a good shower. I would definitely use both lowcostholidays.com and the Malmaison at Reading again.

I stayed here on Saturday night with my fiance for a special occasion. We've stayed here several times before and we always have a fantastic time. Mareen in reservations is an absolute star - extremely helpful, responsive and polite. When we got into our room there was even a hand-written card welcoming us back to the hotel. We stayed in the... I stayed in this hotel in its opening week a few years ago and have stayed there a few times since for both business and pleasure. It's pretty good value for the location (next to Reading station) and quality of service and accommodation. However, as I read in another review some bits of paintwork in the rooms could do with... We stayed room 208 for 2 nights. Check in was slick, cheerful, knowledgeable staff made us feel welcome. Saddly, no porter service or help our cases. At first sight the room was spacious and luxurious, good use of fabrics and art creating a opulent feel. The bathroom looked great too, a full size tub, a monsoon shower and a good... More

We paid £69 for the night and it was fantastic value at that price: nice big room, friendly staff, cool bar, lovely bathroom, DVD player, and a bit of cool. Compared to the nearby IBIS and NOVOTEL - both at roughly the same price - it's a no brainer. Go MalMaison However, having stayed at MalMaison hotels before, the Reading... More

First review I've written though have stayed in many hotels in the past, especially in Reading, Loved this hotel , my room was on the Orient Express floor and the corridor and room really typified this theme, the darker colours just add to the atmoshere. The bathroom was large with a fantastic shower and seperate bath. I stayed over a Friday... More

The hotel is beside the rail station, I paid £120. The rooms are tastefully decorated and not your usual Euro IKEA type stuff, they have a little more character. Bathrooms are very stylish and the shower is superb. Beds comfy, aircon works. Staff are friendly. Breakfast we cooked fresh and was delicious. Free wifi. What else could you want!

Lovely escape from the Reading high street. You could be anywhere in this hotel, same with all Malmaisons really. I like dark, but this was a little too much for me, I could barley see my room or my food in the restaurant! do like the bed, bath and shower.. and the fact you get good size toiletries to use... Nice room, although it was overlooking the road and got abit noisy as it was a saturday night (kebab shop across the road!) the room was small, but having the bathroom going downstairs made it appear bigger. brilliant set up near the train station and close to town centre. we also ate in the restaurant, it was nice, but for... The Mailmeson is placed in a very convenient position: close to the railway station and the bus stop to TVP. You may have a good dinner there and the rooms are good. The style is a bit dark with all walls and fornitures black, maybe trendy, but... a bit depressing. Only one tip: avoid rooms in the basement, they are... More
