Very nice hotel but could do with a lick of paint here and there. Food was excellent although service could have been a bit faster. The location around the lake was superb with ducks and swans at your doorstep

My groupon bargain. £59 for one night, , breakfast, and a bottle of wine. Room was lovely and overlooking the lake. Hotel well situated with a 5 mile drive to town centre. Very enjoyable stay. Staff were friendly and attentive. Buffet style breakfast had a lot of choice. Would come again.

This is not a 4* hotel by any stretch of the imagination. Nice outlook but miles from anywhere if you wanted to eat or drink out of the hotel. Shabby throughout. Restaurant closed so had to eat a 'romantic' meal in the bar area with full on TV blaring. Not good. Promised more on the website, but then you don't show pictures or dirty walls or peeling wallpaper if you are trying to market! Room was cold and train noise noticeable. Tired and definitely not a four star hotel. The three star holiday inn up the road is considerably better value for money.
