Arrived last week and found the b&b very easily. Was greeted by a very friendly man at the door. Room was very spacious and with plenty of amenities. Coffee, tea and kettle provided and with complimentary biscuits and sweets given too. Bathroom was great, had a power shower and bidet. Towels were replaced each day. Breakfast was lovely with it... We found this B&B by searching the internet. It is owned and run by two recent graduates from Oxford University. One is from Singapore and the other from China. They really know how to make you feel welcomed and their breakfast is superb. The location is walking distance from Benheim Palace which takes two days to see it all. Be... More

Great little B&B. Excellent customer service from the Chinese owner. Rooms are basic and decor needs a little attention. The bathroom was more than adequate! The breakfast is taken in the small extension to the 18th property in which the kitchen is also located. It was a bit like eating your breakfast at home except that you didn't need to... More

While it is a bit worn, I thought The Townhouse was a very good value. Breakfast was very good and when I asked for the eggs to be cooked a bit more the owners were very sweet about it (the British seem to like eggs more underdone than Americans.) The breakfast room is lovely and filled with light. The parking... More

We stayed here on July 8, 2011. This is the only place I stayed in my month long trip to Europe that made me uncomfortable. The front door enters into a completely dark, narrow hallway (a light eventually flickered on at a half-light, which I’m not sure was much better). There is nothing that even passes for a small entry... More

We went to Woodstock because we wanted to visit Bleinham Palace. We were not disappointed int the palace at all. The townhouse was clean and friendly. It was just an ok experience. We chose B And Bs in order to get close to the people and culture and were mildly disappointed to be greeted by folks who were friendly but... More

I recently visited the Woodstock and stayed for a long weekend with my girlfriend at the Townhouse. Woodstock looked like a fantastic location to stay with Blenheim Palace so close and within 40 mins of Silverstone for the British Grand Prix. I had spent a long time finding the right place to stay before settling on the Townhouse, when i... More

We decided to stay in Woodstock for the grand prix as its only 30 minutes drive away. The village is beautiful and has lots of great pubs, restaurants and shops to offer so we were really pleased with this find. We ate in the Kings Head and can’t recommend it enough. So to The Townhouse b&b, it has new owners... More

I could not fault a thing with The Townhouse. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, breakfast was excellent, and the staff a delight. I have not stayed in a B&B with such accommodating staff as they are here. From advising on parking (the one problem we had in Woodstock), to carrying luggage to our rooms, to allowing us to have...
