At the back gate to Blenheim Palace and handy to shops and dining options. We arrived during the Woodstock Music Festival, and with no on-site parking ended up parking some distance away up a back lane. The dining area did smell a little and we were on the second floor, up a very steep staircase. The hostess was a little... More

Having read some of the negatives here I was a bit apprehensive, but had no option. We were met by the friendly manageress, and were shown room 3, which was large/twin bedded as booked. It also had a sofa and a small wardrobe.I had asked for an early breakfast on my Expedia booking and she said that although the breakfast doesn't... We stayed here for one night in the family room. It is a really tired and shabby guest house, the decor looks like it was last updated 30 years ago. I normally sleep well in hotels but the mattresses here (tried each of the 4 out!) were really uncomfortable and had an awful night plus a bad back in the... More

Where do we start???? OK, I'll start on the good note and the reason why we gave this place one star - free internet. The guest house is run down, stained carpets throughout and a rank smell in the air. The beds are soft and lumpy - call the chiropractor. The hostess was passive aggressive in a way the English... It appears not much has changed since the review in March 2010; the plastic table cloths are still there; the whole place could do with redecoration; the 14" TV stuck on the floor in the fireplace wasnt ideal. Breakfast was ok but not brilliant; one is given one small butter, one margarine , one jam and one marmalade - no... More

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Blenheim Guest House. We were warmly greeted by the host who continued their warm hospitality throughout our stay. The guesthouse was just around the corner from one of the entrances to Blenheim Palace, so you couldn't find a better location to tour the palace. The rooms were very clean, had small, but very adequate... More

My stay at The Blenheim was everything I hoped it would be - my room was delightfully quaint - totally in keeping with the look and feel of the village of Woodstock, and the manager, Diane was polite and informal. She also took care of arranging my cab from the station to the Blenheim, and my cab to take me... More

The tourist information office recommended this B&B to us. If we had seen the dining room with plastic table cloths beforehand, that alone would have put us off staying here. It was very dingy and smelt of fried food even late the night we arrived. The room was rather seedy with dated decor and none too clean shag pile carpet.... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my three night stay here. The staff was friendly and kind. My room was lovely as was the breakfast. The location can not be beat for visitors to Woodstock and Blenheim Palace. My room was cozy and well equipped for this price point. Would stay here again on my next visit. More

On our trip we decided we wanted to see the "country" side of England. We ended up in Woodstock. After taking the bus from Oxford we arrived in this cosy small village of Woodstock, we went to the Tourist information and got really good service from the lady behind the counter. We got a twin bed room, i think it... More
