I booked this without reading any of the reviews on Tripadvisor and regretted this booking after reading them. I even considered not bothering to turn up and booking alternative accommodation. My last stay at a Travelodge about 4 years ago was not a good one and would NEVER recommend the Gatwick Travelodge to anyone... However I paid £26 for this... More

We arrived after a long journey, hoping for a nice cup of tea and a shower but when I saw the sink and the state of the bathroom fittings, I decided I would feel dirtier after a shower than before. There were cobwebs, mouldy window, cracked brown stained sink, bath and toilet and kettle was stained and dirty too.

Although this Travelodge is 7 miles from the centre of Oxford it is a great place to stay as far as location is concerned. There is ample car parking space so you can leave the car at the hotel while you explore the city centre. There is a bus stop a few yards away and the bus service (Arriva number... More

Stayed here for one night this week. Arrived with some trepidation having read reviews on here just before setting off. The place is very tired and scruffy and needs total refurbishment but to be fair the bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom wasn't pretty but the bath, loo and handbasin themselves were clean. The towels a... More

We stayed here whilst attending a wedding and really needed a room, but it was awful. The rooms were not clean and we didnt even attempt to use the bathroom. The service at reception was ok, location wasn't good being quite far out of Oxford. Fairly used to budget places but even this was interesting!

I needed an overnight stay for a business meeting in Oxford. You normally think a Travelodge would be adequate so just booked it. This particular one was grotty - looked dirty, smelt damp, decor generally tired and looks like it needs a lick of paint. Kettle & tea/coffee was provided. No bath plug though so you were forced to have... More

not as bad as other reviews imply. we were given a room that had clearly not been cleaned, this was changed without fuss and new room was fine. Asda across rd, and Harvester adjoining avoid this at all costs, Oxford's underclass use this as their local. If you like rowdy uncontrolled children and crap food this may be for you... More

I live nearby and needed a bed for visitors so put them here. Horrible. One of the dirtiest rooms found in a travelodge and no where near oxford. The harvester attached is fine but the hotel needs updating.

I usually have good experiences with travelodge but this hotel was a total let down. It was absolutly FILTHY! Cobwebs all over the ceiling. So obviously there so there is no excuse for why they have been left. The lamps look like they have never been cleaned with dust an inch thick. Mould plagued the whole room with the bathroom... More

The price just about saves the day for this particular Travelodge, other than that it doesn't have a lot going for it, building and decor quite tired ! The Asda across the road is a bit of welcome relief ! It is on the East side of Oxford, then it is a couple of miles (maybe three) to the nearest... More
