I chose this hotel for our one night in Oxford mainly for the free parking it offered, and its proximity to the downtown area. The room was large and clean, and the bed comfortable, but it seemed incredibly overpriced. If you could get a deal at this hotel, then it's worth it, but I wouldn't pay full price again.

This was a company booking for business the next day in Oxford. The Four Pillars is not far from the city centre , but far enough for my room to look out across fields and paddocks - very nice. My room was very quiet, but colleagues in other parts of the hotel were subject to noise in the night. Parking... More

We chose this particular hotel because of it's location, and because of the fact that we had been given gift vouchers for this chain ( we were celebrating our 6th Wedding Anniversary!). We were impressed with it's grand facade, and reception staff were excellent when booking in. We stayed in room 67 at the rear which overlooks fields, hoping that... More

Lovely looking building on the edge of the sitting, which is in walking distances, a pleasant walk to the City along the tow path. Reasonable room, (133) over looking the countryside. Bar area, resembles a departure lounge at an airport, sadly missing a feature or some kind. Restaurant, the food was good, but the restaurant itself lets the food down,... More

The hotel is set in some nice grounds with easy access to the river and Christchurch meadows. However, its very standard large hotel with no character or style. For the price we paid, I certainly expected something a bit nicer. The rooms are what I would expect in Travelodge. The TV was tiny and randomly attached to the wall with... More

Recently stayed as part of a university reunion and rooms were not particularly well appointed and looked tired. Hence the room rates were not what I would say best value. Also the spa is tiny and packed so swimming is virtually impossible. Parking is also tight but the location is excellent and walkable into the city. Breakfast however was excellent.

The hotel was okay, even better when we changed rooms as our first one was not up to standard. The 'spa' was really disappointing and be aware that kids can be in there all day at the weekend. We had 5 crammed in the spa bath with us, not at all relaxing or what you would expect. The staff were... More

This place is fantastic!!! The people are really helpful and friendly. Stayed there for two nights and at last minute a friend decided to stay over, and the hotel staff quickly set up an extra bed in the room, and provided towels, shampoo, shower gel, everything a guest would need for my friend. It's like setting up another room for... More
