Spent two excruciating nights at foxcombe lodge. Would have left but arrangements made from Australia. Staff were unfriendly and strange. Beds were awful. Rooms unclean and bathrooms black with mould. Toilet didn't flush in one room and shower didn't work in other room. Cheap curtains ensured rooms flooded with light at all times of day and night. I had the misfortune of my work putting me up in this hotel! The place is run down. Has dirty bed sheets, dirty towels, broken windows in a room where I am staying with my kids!!! I have been to night clubs with less sticky carpets! No plugs in the sink. And a tv that was Broken on the wall... More

The staff and manager were very helpful and the breakfast was good, The problems started in the room and bathroom room 23 the bathroom was filthy the ceiling looked as if was covered in nicotene with moisture dripping on the floor. I struggled to get wet under the shower. The place needs updating asap very disappointed

Stayed here twice. Tried a number of different hotels in Oxford. If u want first class service - go stay at the Randolph, and pay their prices. Avoid this hotel. It is a poor value for a run down place... Needs constant warm water and lots of remodeling. Manager seems to ignore obvious issues...if you want to stay in the area, seek other places

Positives: Clean, comfortable rooms. Pleasant location and pleasant property. Quirky interior. The beds were particularly comfortable. Negatives Breakfast wasn't great, but not bad. This hotel is generally grubby and neglected. It needs major refurbishment. Lack of cleaning evident in room and ensuite. Unpleasant bedlinen. Uninspiring breakfast (dreadful cheap sausages). A very disappointing stay and poor value.
