Overall pleased, nice room, quiet street (we did not face the High Street), good bathroom with towel warmer. Yum. But really, £4 per hour for wireless? That's ridiculous.

At the end of our UK trip, we decided to overnight in Oxford rather than stay at an airport hotel at Heathrow. I had only been to Oxford once before and it was many years before. We didn't really want to do the touristy thing, just be in the city. Firstly, the location. On foot, you are very close to... More

The biggest clincher for this hotel is its location, if you are coming from London (which most probably you are) you need to get down at High street turn around take a little walk and take right and there you are! Given that it has just about 40 rooms and good location its almost always packed,so making a reservation is... More

Stayed here for one night, for my daughter's graduation. What a waste of money. Pokey rooms, terrible pillows, and completely unsuited to my elderly mother-in-law, who could not use the bath at all. This despite me ringing the hotel to ask for a suitable room. Unhelpful on arrival, and did not accept my loyalty card, despite paying £330 for two... More

The only downside for me was that the bar felt a bit soulless and...ummm...hotelly. There are, however, alternatives nearby, and others were clearly enjoying it. Other than that entirely subjective point, all good (& my espresso in the morning was very good indeed). I'd stay here again.

Fantastic location for seeing the sights in Oxford. An easy 25 minute walk to to the train station through scenic streets; museums, history, restaurants and cafes within a few minutes' walk. Delicious food at the in-house restaurant (evening and breakfast). We paid extra for a one-notch above the standard bedroom, and it was worth it - four windows overlooking the... More

On arriving this hotel didn't get off to the greatest of starts but more about this later. The hotel is ideal as it's within a minutes walk to Oxford's High Street and the University Botanic Garden, a low cost enterance fee, is just a few minutes around the corner and past the pretty Rose Lane. This lane leads to Dead... More
