Stayed here for two nights over the bank hol.Rooms spotless and the beds were very comfy.We stayed in the Twin room.breakfast was gorgeous and lots of it.The only thing was our room was at the front and there was a bright light shinning in the room from the front of the house,otherwise a fab stay

Took my Mum here recently as a surprise for her 70th birthday and had booked Room 8 the annexe just a few yards away. It was wonderful and just like our own little apartment with living area, bedroom and bathroom. Well located just outside the city walls the Barbican is a modest but well run bed and breakfast with helpful owners keen to advise how best to experience this great city. Wow how fab was our stay....We were in York to see The Sounds of the 60's at The Barbican. We arrived early in the day and were able to leave our car whilst we headed into York, only a short 10 minute walk away....The Barbican is only a couple of minutes walk away therefore Barbican House is in an ideal... Just had a lovely break at the Barbican, Adrian and Ann were very welcoming and helpful during our stay, told us places to eat and places of interest. Would definitely stay here again.
