lovely hotel in a perfect location. our room was on the small side and we didnt have a great view but had a wonderful stay. all staff are really welcoming and friendly. B/fast and drinks are very expensive so we ate elsewhere.

Stayed for 2 nights in May. Perfect position for seeing the sights in the centre of york, within a short walk of all the city centre. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was lovely.
Free Wifi and reasonable parking charges would have been nice (I ended up driving round the corner to find parking for much less).

Stayed in this hotel for one night July 2011. Hotel is very clean and in a good location. The breakfast was very very nice. Only negative is you have to pay for parking at the hotel.

Well positioned hotel for sites of York, friendly staff, good restaurant, clean comfortable rooms. Water in rooms should be complementary and wifi £15 is excessive.

Room was tiny, but v clean and quiet. Quality of bathroom fittings, towels and toileteries were lovey. On outskirt of inner city, but easy (5min) walk to Shambles etc. Staff efficient. Breakfast service really nice. Second floor hallway v strong smell of damp.

The location and the price of the hotel was really good but the beds in the double double room were incredibly uncomfortable. Unfortunately there weren't any leisure amenities - a pool would have been nice. The restaurant was very accommodating for a 21-month old and an 11 week old. We hope to go back again but may pick another hotel...
