We stayed for 2 nights from 9th to 11th December 2011. Nigel and his wife and mother made us feel very welcome. We felt at home immediately. The breakfast is the best I've had in a guesthouse anywhere. The room was spacious, warm and very clean and had flat screen tv and free wifi. The location is 5 minutes walk... More

My husband and I have just returned from a lovley weekend in York. York is fantastic at this time of the year and very busy, and the Palm Court B&B brilliant. The location was good, just a short walk into the centre. The owners Nigel and Helen Collier were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. The B&B is spotless,... More

We have just returned from a lovely weekend in York, and were really pleased with our stay at the Palm Court. The family room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was excellent, with one of the most user-friendly hotel showers we have experienced recently. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fantastic with a really good variety of fruit and cereal... More

Ok, so the decor wasn't necessarily to my taste - but this is just about the cleanest place I've ever stayed. Good size family room, delicious breakfast and great hosts - genuinely happy to help. Let us have our room at 11am, really flexible about breakfast - want something not on the menu - no problem. And at only 5... More

Very good hotel! We arrived early and headed straight to hotel to leave our cases. We were met by the owner who told us our room was ready, which was a bonus ! The room was absolutely immaculate. The breakfast was great and the service was too! The hotel's location is very convenient as it is only 5 mintues away... More

We have been going to York more years than I can remember. At first we stayed outside of York in self catering, later we looked for an hotel convenient to all attractions and offering a good standard of accommodation. For several years, our stay was hit and miss and then we found The Palm Court. We have returned there ever... More

My two children (18yr old and an 8yr old!) and I stayed for four nights and we had a really lovely time. Nigel, Helen and Nigel's wonderful octogenarian mum Beryl, were friendly, informative and so welcoming! What lovely people. Their beautiful B and B is clean, very comfortable and within an easy 5min walk from the town and all its... More

The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean, with generous tea and coffee making supplies, plenty of drawer and wardrobe space and a hairdryer. Breakfasts were great, I loved the fresh grapefruit. It's within easy walking distance of the town and the owners are really friendly. We would definitely stay there again. More
