Another excellent stay at Seaview to celebrate my wife's birthday.Prior to arriving i had asked Brian to arrange for some flowers to be in our room ( number 2, only small, but great view over sea & abbey). The flower's were wonderfull, and well appreaciated by my "good lady " so it was a good start to our short stay. This was our 8th... We have just got back from a few nights at Seaview Guest House. We have never stayed in such a wonderful place, fabulous room overlooking the sea, very clean, warm and comfortable rooms with everything you can ask for including Brians home made Parkin cake which was lovely. Breakfast you just could not eat anymore the choice was never ending,... More

I stayed here a couple of months ago with my partner and was brilliant from start to finish. Warm welcome from Brian. Beautiful clean rooms. Gorgeous breakfast. Excellent location with parking. We had a gorgeous view of the sea. Amazing breakfasts. Couldn't be any happier and staying here again near the end of the year!!!

Brian and Abby are wonderful hosts - the house is very warm and welcoming, rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our room No6 had wonderful views over the harbour and the Abbey. Breakfast is excellent, (Brian's home made bramble and green plum jams were also). We only stayed two nights - wish it could have been longer.

Four of us booked two rooms for a weekend's break in Whitby and we chose to stay at the Seaview based on the Tripadvisor reviews; we weren't disappointed. Brian and Abby are charming hosts with an eye to detail and attention that puts many five star hotels to shame. The rooms, whilst not overgenerousin size, were immaculately clean and the... More

Bit of a late review as stayed here in 2012 but just hadn't got around to writing this until now, however feel it's important to give the credit deserved to Brian and Abby once again: My husband and I had promised to take my parents to this beautiful guest house and they were not disappointed. We had previously stayed in... More

Just back from two nights at the Seaview. Our room (6) was spotless and really comfortable. There was fresh milk in the fridge and home-made parkin waiting for us. Brian is a great chef - it's worth a visit just for the breakfast! We've stayed at a few places in Whitby, but this was the best by far.

Thanks Abby and Brian for another lovely stay. When choosing where to go for our honeymoon it had to be somewhere we knew would be special, so it had to be Seaview. We always love the breakfasts, especially the fresh fruit and full English to follow, with lots of Yorkshire tea and toast. We enjoyed the room we had (no.3)... More

We had come with high expectations from previous reviews and weren't disappointed. We arrived late in the evening but this wasn't a problem, and fresh milk and home made cake awaited us in our room (the in room fridge was very useful, particularly as it magically replenished itself with cake and milk each day!). Our room (7) was clean and... More

This was our second visit and again we were made very welcome by Abby and Brian. Lovely comfortable rooms, very clean, fluffy white towels. The decor throughout is very stylish. Bottles of water in fridge, home made parkin a lovely touch. Fantastic sea views and very close to shops, pubs and restaurants. Great choice at breakfast, from extensive range of... More
