Stayed one night in the Cottage Suite recently. Very comfortable and spacious living area with a large corner unit, great for stretching out and chilling, upstairs a modern bathroom and cosy bedroom. Because the suite is tucked into the eaves of the building you do need to be careful when moving about upstairs not to bang your head, so might... More

We chose the Broom House - in part based on the rash of favorable reviews on TA - for a two-day stay as our center in the North Yorkshire Moors region and were well-rewarded. The place is a little off the beaten track, but desirably so - a 10 minute, sinuous, sometimes breathtaking plunge on the lanes leading from the... More

Spotlessly clean and well equipped rooms. Friendly and helpful staff who are only too happy to help. Great food served both in whites restaurant and for breakfast. Good choice and good portion size. This is the third time we have stayed here in two years and in our experience the guest house/restaurant has very high standards.

My sister and I stayed for a couple of nights just to get away for a break. We could not fault the service - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and dinner were excellent - lovely log burner which made the restaurant warm and homely. We had the twin room which was spotless and very comfortable with a lovely view... More

Stayed at Broom house with several members of my family as an 80th birthday treat for my father. The owners couldn't do enough to ensure we had everything we needed as my mother had mobility problems and the Orchard Suite she was using was split level which we hadn't realised on booking (might be worth updating your website to reflect... We stayed at broom house to celebrate my fathers 80th birthday to incorporate a lunch train journey. My parents stayed in the orchard suite which is like a little self contained cottage which worked really well as it has a nice lounge area so the 6 of us could all sit together in the evening. We also had room 1... More

We stayed here as a party of 10 in 6 rooms for a weekend. Our room, the king size, was quite large and comfortable, but others were rather small. The food was excellent, with a good choice for breakfast. Dinner prices are reasonable, while Sunday lunch is good value for money. Lucy on the desk is extremely helpful and friendly.... More

We are sorry that you found the Hotel to hot, and found this a cause for complaint !! It is the time of year when nights are getting colder and some people feel the cold more than others. It is far better to have the house warm than cold!! There are thermostats on all radiators in each room, for guests... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. Location close to North Yorkshire Moors Railway. As a senior citizen with a heavy case, 5 short flights of stairs to reach my room in the old loft was a bit daunting. To be fair, help was readily and enthusiastically offered. The room I stayed in had only windows with sky views and one window... More

We are naturally disappointed that you have had cause to complain about your recent stay here at Broom House and I would ask, why wasnt the issue raised whilst the Guest is on site, so that where possible we can hopefully deal with the matter first hand to every ones satisfaction. All our rooms have clear descriptions of the facilities... More

Review written in the context of undertaking Wainwright’s Coast to Coast Walk. Accommodation arranged by Macs Adventures. About 1.5km off the route but a great place to stay. A warm welcome and farewell. Drink and cake offered on arrival. Best bedroom of the trip, spacious and well furnished. Evening meals not done on Sundays and Mondays. (Recommended, correctly, to use... More

I could have the month of when we stayed wrong. But I was just putting some reviews on and had to review this place!! Me and my partner went to stay for only one night but I wish it had been more. We set off in the rain but by the time we got close it was hard snow!! We... More
