this was our second trip to whitby and we visited this pub last year and visited again this year sunday lunch was superb and so was the other meals we ate there. very busy on saturday night when we arrived but that just showed you how good the pub was. will visit again in the future.

If what you're looking for is some great tasty pub food to fill you up for lunch, this is the place. (It's not for fine dining). Generous portions, good honest stuff with plenty of veg and good atmosphere. Popular with the locals. Giant Yorkshire puds with filling are good value for kids. Nice beer too.
