We stayed in the "best room" so said by the person who took the booking. I would not say it was the best of anythng. The room was dark in decoration and very little lighting, the bath was described as having a double ended bath, yes it was but not big enough for one let alone two, niether my husband... More

Having read the reviews on here, my husband and I were a little anxious about what we were going to experience when we arrived, as we had booked with a Groupon offer. We were pleasantly surprised! Polite, professional service from the staff who made us feel welcome. Room was clean and we had fresh towels daily. The room was a... More

Went to the restaurant to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. If you want olde worlde charm then this restaurant is for you - it has a wonderful ambience - the staff were friendly, helpful and service was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious - compliments to the chef. We had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing evening. More

Dont come here if your idea of a hotel is a bland characterless plastic coated mdf corporate chain where you have to look outside to see what town your in. If thats your idea of a hotel then your definetley in the wrong hotel and probably in the wrong resort. But if you want a place that is quirky full... More

On a good note the staff were good, the breakfast was better than expected in probably the best room of the pub. The rooms we had "Dickens" and "Warrior Queen" were dreadful and very very shabby, TV's in both rooms did not work, the bathrooms had cracked and dirty tiles, curtains were hanging by a thread and all in all...
