I would highly recommend The Woodlands. It is in a great location within Sandsend - down a small country lane next to a stream with ducks and goats and a very short walk to the beach and centre of the village. The staff were fantastic and very welcoming.
The room was outstanding (Louis) Very romantic, best nuights sleep in years ,we will...

What a great place, Woodlands has something for everyone.
I was recommended by a friend who visited Woodlands last year, I had previously read about the place in numerous national papers, however after reading some of the negative comments on trip advisor I was slightly put off. My husband and I decided to take the chance and booked a nights...

Visited the cafebar lunchtime with 2 children (6 & 9 years) because we had been a few years back.
The setting is beautiful & they have revamped the place well, with benches outside for those with dogs.

The hotel is is small, intimate, interesting - very much a family enterprise,...

We stayed here for two nights for my birthday and had a lovely relaxing weekend. The hotel is set back from the coast through a really cute little village green, and was very quiet and beautifully decorated.
We stayed in Isabella which had a slipper bath and sea views. Plenty of space to relax with a little table and comfy...

This is a beautifully presented hotel in an exquisite location but unfortunately the people who run it lack the vital ingredient in running a successful hospitality business - they do not mind what you experience.
We were staying in 'Louis' which is blighted by a strong smell of drains. On arrival we opened all the windows and my builder husband...
