In years of travelling around, we have never found a better B&B. The welcome is warm and friendly, and includes in our experience, a lovely afternoon tea. Breakfast is equally superb. A great place to stay for Way of the Roses Cycle Route, or if you want to do Settle to Carlisle by train.

Just returned from a stay in Settle visiting family. The Valleymead Guest House is one of the best we have stayed in anywhere. Shirley certainly knows how to run a warm, friendly guest house. Just back from our fourth stay at Valley Mead - and it won't be our last. Very thoughtful hosts who are really good company with very comfortable rooms in a lovely environment. A choice of good pubs close by and a super breakfast. What else would you want?

Lovely bedroom, great breakfast, in another lovely room with log fire, served by the host who was really helpful. The bedroom was well appointed and well thought out. This is a lovely b&b just over the bridge from Settle. Easy to walk to anywhere in Settle or the pubs in Giggleswick. Shirley and Robert were good hosts without being in your face. Room was very comfortable, great bed, shower, and breakfast room. Breakfast was very good.

We stayed at Valleymead for the weekend with 2 other couples, so had the whole B&B to ourselves. On arrival we were offered a pot of tea and homemade biscuits straight from the oven which was a nice extra touch. We stayed for 2 nights in Feb 2012, arriving by train. Shirley met us at the station, and Robert took us back at the end of our stay, despite heavy snow making driving difficult. (Despite the postal address being Giggleswick, Valleymead is much closer to Settle station than to Giggleswick Station). This was typical of their kindness. There were home... More

Stayed here when cycling the Way of The Roses (alone).... Very warm welcome with coffee and cake and nice room. Very relaxed setting and a 5 minute walk into Settle with places to eat and drink. Unlike some hotels good internet connection which was nice. Garage to lock bike in Would I stay here again YES
